What Breed of Cat Is Solid Gray w/ Short Hair?
I’m going around to local animal shelters tomorrow looking for a new member of my family. 
I have always found solid, dark gray cats and kittens to be absolutely beautiful– especially the ones with green eyes.
Is there a specific breed I should look for?
Grey is called “Blue” in cat colours and there’s several breeds of cats that come in that colour and it also shows up in cats of no particular breed. And domestic cats – unless they’re pointed like Siamese – all have green or gold eyes.
Don’t focus on a breed when picking out a cat – just look for the cat that most responds to you – is friendliest, sweetest, most playful. I’m sure your shelter had plenty of Blue cats. Pick a cat – not a kitten. With kittens you never know what they’ll be like as adults but with adult cats the personality is right there before you. I have three adult cats – all adopted from shelters – and they’re the sweetest, most loveable, most playful cats I’ve ever known!
