Small items that could be swallowed or materials that your dog can bite pieces off of should be avoided. Some household materials might actually be dangerous for your pet, so if you have any doubts do not use them. Consulting your veterinarian is a good idea, since they will be able to tell you what is safe and what is not. Always supervise your dog while they are playing with their toys unless you are one hundred percent sure that they will not be able to harm themselves!
